Roof Installation in Lavant

Whether you're replacing an ageing roof or fitting out a new build, West Sussex Roofing deliver full roof installation to the highest standard. We work with all tile types — concrete, clay, and natural slate — alongside EPDM rubber, fibreglass, and felt for flat sections. Every installation begins with a thorough structural assessment to ensure the roof deck and timbers are sound before a single tile goes on. We use only premium-grade materials from trusted UK suppliers, giving you a roof that performs in every season and holds its value for decades. Our teams work cleanly and efficiently, protecting your property throughout. On completion, you receive a signed written workmanship guarantee alongside full documentation for your insurers and for future property sales.

About Lavant

Lavant sits at the point where the River Lavant — a winterbourne chalk stream that only flows in wetter years — emerges from the South Downs just north of Chichester, and the village is split between East Lavant, West Lavant, and Mid Lavant, each with a good number of period flint and brick cottages alongside more recent housing. Being right on the edge of the South Downs National Park, Lavant is more exposed to the wind coming off the open downland than Chichester itself, and older cottages here with traditional clay tile and lead valley work need that exposure factored into how often they're checked. The chalk downland setting also means Lavant properties back onto steep, largely treeless slopes rather than the wooded Weald further north — so while moss and leaf debris are less of an issue than in the wooded villages inland, wind-driven rain finding its way under loose or aged ridge tiles is a more common cause of leaks here. West Sussex Roofing cover Lavant, Chichester, and Singleton, with free surveys and fixed-price quotations for repairs and reroofing.

Roof Installation in Lavant — FAQs

How long does a full roof installation take?
The time it takes depends on the size of the roof and site access. We give you a realistic schedule at quote stage and keep you updated throughout.
Do I need planning permission for a roof replacement?
In most cases, like-for-like replacements do not require planning permission. However, listed buildings or properties in conservation areas may need approval. We will advise you at survey stage.
What tiles do you recommend for West Sussex homes?
For traditional Sussex properties we often recommend clay or natural slate to match existing character. For modern homes, high-quality concrete interlocking tiles offer excellent durability and value. We show you samples at survey.
