Does fitting a skylight require planning permission?

On a pitched roof, most skylight installations fall under permitted development provided the skylight does not protrude more than 150mm above the roof plane. Flat roof extensions, conservation areas, and listed buildings may require consent — we advise at survey stage.

My Velux window has started leaking — can you repair it?

Yes. The most common cause is degraded flashing kit around the frame. We replace the flashing and reseal the unit, which in most cases provides a permanent fix. We can also source and fit a replacement unit if the frame has corroded.

How much does a Velux installation cost?
